Much Delayed Update
OK,
So I haven't updated on this thing in, like, forever. After I migrated to Blogger, I have yet to post anything substantial other than a couple video blogs. Though, those posts have really been a blog of sorts anyway. I'll post this and a MeToday today.
So what's been going on? Well, I went to Orlando, FL for a Retail conference. It was a lot of fun. Learned a lot too. Posted some pics of the fun parts on my flickr account (http://www.flickr.com/photos/marz8). There are other pics since then there too. Like today at lunch. It's always fun to have a day off during the week when the rest of the world is off. I can have lunch for a couple hours and have a few beers. All the other fucks have to work :)
Other than the trip, the most major thing that happened is my external HD crashed. Well, it didn't crash, my OS locked up while it was accessing the drive. I had to shut down and as a result, the HD was unreadable. I did run a program that was able to see all my files, but I had 90% of them backed up already. So I just used the backup.
I got my music and pics, but through the process of restoring I lost 99.9% of my songs that start with the letters A - C. That's because I fucked up in deleting them. It wasn't until I got to the Ds that I realized my error. So I'll use my online backup (mozy.com) to restore those files some time this weekend.
Other stuff. WLTV. So I want to spread "The Thunder." Wine Library TV (tv.winelibrary.com). Great video podcast about wine. I'm planning on doing a high light reel for them this weekend. We'll see. It'll be a lot of work.
Twitter. Damn, my Twitter has really blown up. I only get a few text updates on my phone, but that almost is my 1500 text limit. I want to have a couple more peeps come through via text, but that might push me over the edge. Thinking about converting to unlimited text. Follow me at www.twitter.com/marz8.
Seriously, Twitter is a great way to communicate with people. Instantaneous communication if you enable text updates. It follows you too. I have my desktop client going (twitterriffic for Mac OS X. Dunno the Windoze proggy). Plus the iPhone web app (Halo). Never out of touch. You might think it's geeky, but it's a great way to get instant updates on what your friends are doing.
I'll be doing a MeToday soon on Viddler (www.viddler.com/Marz). too.
